air fryer yogurt dough pizza rolls
These air fryer yogurt dough pizza rolls are fast, easy, and endlessly customizable. Plus, they use ingredients I bet you already have on hand: flour, Greek yogurt, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
The dough is actually the same one I use for homemade bagels (and grilled flatbreads). I find it to be so much faster to whip than classic pizza dough, and I’m always amazed at how easy it is to work with.
3 tips for making yogurt dough pizza rolls
Here are a few tips to make the whole process even more seamless:
- 1. Finely chop any toppings so they don’t fall out when you’re rolling up the dough.
- 2. If you have some on hand, slice the rolls with kitchen twine or unflavored dental floss to prevent them from squishing. (I also use this trick when making mini lasagna rolls!)
- 3. Don’t worry if some cheese spills out as they cook. You can scoop it right back up and eat it alongside your pizza roll.

air fryer yogurt dough pizza rolls
serves 2 to 4 (makes 4 rolls)
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon each garlic powder, dried oregano or Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes
- kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, plus more for work surface
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (I use 2% Fage)
- 1/4 cup marinara or pizza sauce
- 3 ounces low-moisture mozzarella cheese, grated (3/4 cup)
- toppings of your choice, chopped (I like green bell pepper, red onion, and kalamata olives or pepperoncinis)
Instructions
- Whisk the oil, garlic powder, oregano, red pepper flakes, and a pinch each of salt and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl. Add the yogurt and stir with a fork until crumbly.
- Transfer to a work surface and knead with your hands, adding more flour as needed, until it forms a smooth ball (dough should be slightly tacky but not sticky). Cover loosely with plastic wrap; set aside while you grate the cheese and prep the toppings.
- Roll the dough into a 12×8-inch rectangle, flouring it and flipping as you go so it doesn’t stick to your work surface.
- Brush a thin layer of the seasoned oil onto the dough. Add the sauce in an even layer, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Top with the cheese and any desired toppings. Starting with the SHORT side, carefully roll into a log.
- Heat the air fryer to 400°F. Slice the roll into 4 equal pieces with kitchen twine, unflavored dental floss, or a serrated knife. Pinch the seams closed and flatten each roll slightly with the palm of your hand.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and add the rolls. Brush the sides with the remaining oil. Air fry until golden brown and cheese is melted, 7 to 10 minutes. Serve warm.
