I live in Pittsburgh, PA with my husband Pat, 1-year-old daughter Daisy, and golden retriever Bodie. My goal with this space is to share protein-packed vegetarian recipes to fuel your busy lifestyle.

Directly after graduating college, I headed to Birmingham, AL - where Cooking Light was headquartered - to pursue my dreams of working for a food magazine.

The following summer I accepted a job at Real Simple, which took me to NYC. During that time I also attended the Natural Gourmet Institute, a mostly plant-based culinary school.

From there, I went on to oversee the recipe program at The Kitchn. Today, I work full-time on The Pack, and I just wrote my debut cookbook Protein-Packed Vegetarian.

I take recipe testing seriously, and only publish recipes I feel confident will work for you! I'll always offer equipment and/or ingredient swaps when applicable.

High-protein vegetarian focus

I've been a vegetarian since the sixth grade, but it wasn't until my mid-20s (when I switched from running to strength training as my primary form of exercise) that I really started prioritizing protein.

this is a riff on the 2-ingredient Japanese cheesecake but it makes me think a classic icebox dot cake would be 👌

to make it:

whip one @good_culture cup with a drizzle of maple syrup and a splash of vanilla in a mini food processor to taste. 

return to cup and add one serving @simplemills chocolate brownie sweet thins. really push them in bc you’ll then swoosh the top with more cottage cheese to cover them. 

refrigerate at least 4 hours then dip into sprinkles!
